Rental Conditions
1) RENTALS
Rentals are available for short stays (minimum 3 nights) and for tourist purposes only.
For shorter periods of stay, please contact us directly by e-mail.
2) CREDIT CARDS AND SAFETY
The system allows paying the deposit to confirm the booking either by PAYPAL or by bank transfer.
3) BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION VOUCHER
It is possible to book exclusively on-line at the website VeniceandEmotions, by paying 20% of the total amount in order to confirm the booking. No other mean of booking is accepted. The balance is to be paid in cash on arrival to the person in charge of the check-in or, if preferred, before the arrival by bank transfer or by PAYPAL. The booking will be confirmed via e-mail with the relative voucher bearing all details of the booking and the contact numbers of the person in charge of the check-in.
4) TIME OF ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE AND RECEPTION
The guest is kindly requested to inform the person in charge of the check-in of the arrival time and any other useful information, at least ten days in advance in order to organize the reception service. Unless otherwise stated in the description of the accommodation, the times for arrival/departure are as follows: arrival between 2:00/8:00 p.m. Departure within 10:00 a.m. Any changes to the date and time of arrival must be notified to the person in charge of the check-in. In the case of an unexpected delay on the arrival day, the guest is requested to contact the person in charge who will be dealing with his/her arrival. The service which provides an escort to the accommodation is included in the total price shown in the booking voucher and is valid until 8:00 p.m. - From 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. an extra charge of 30 (thirty) Euro will be applied to the total amount of the stay. After 10:00 p.m. an extra charge of 50 (fifty) Euro will apply.
On arrival the guest is required to showing either a passport or identity card for the recording of attendance as required by law.
5) SECURITY DEPOSIT
The apartment’s owner does not require a security deposit. In the case of acts of vandalism or theft carried out by the guest, the latter is deemed personally accountable for the cost of damages.
6) NUMBER OF REGISTERED GUESTS OR CHANGES TO REGISTERED GUESTS
Only those people whose names have been recorded on the Bollettino di Pubblica Sicurezza (Public Security Bulletin), and whose presences have been registered with the competent authority will be able to sojourn inside the premises. The total number (adults and children) cannot be superior to the number of beds shown on the website. Only registered guests are allowed to stay in the apartments.
7) PETS
No pets are allowed, including small-sized ones.
8) CHANGES/CANCELLATION OF BOOKING BY THE GUEST
In the case of cancellation, the deposit given at the time of the booking will not be refunded. In case of either a voluntary break to the period of stay or of an early departure, the guest will not have the right to any reimbursement. The cancellation of a booking, even when replaced by another one, carries the following charges:
- Up to 15 days prior to the beginning of the rental: 25% of the amount of the booking
- From 14 to 8 days before the arrival date: 50%
- From 7 days to 72 hours before the arrival date: 75%
- No refund will be available on expiry of the above mentioned terms or in the case of a break to the terms of stay.
10) CHANGES/CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS BY VENICEANDEMOTIONS
If due to force majeure or for any other reason beyond our control we have to change or cancel a booking for the accommodation reserved by the guest, by normative agreement, whenever able to offer such solution, an accommodation of the same class will be assigned to the guest. Should such solution be unavailable, only the amount of the deposit will be refunded, without interest or any other added amount.
11) LIABILITIES
The descriptions inside the website have been checked and edited in good-faith.
In the case of mal-functioning of the system inside the apartment, any complaint by the guest has to be raised at the time of check-in. The guest is required to allow for the necessary time needed to fix the potential problem. Any complaint raised after the end of the stay will not be entitled compensation.
12) LAW AND JURISDICTION
The contract you enter with us is ruled by the Italian Law and is subjected exclusively to the jurisdiction of the Italian court.
